Tissue biopsy section, multiple myeloma, hematoxylin and eosin
Biopsy specimen from a lytic lesion of the right clavicle in a 60-year-old man. Subsequently the patient was found to have 48% plasma cells in the bone marrow and a total serum protein of 100 g/l with albumin 22%, alpha-1 globulin 3%, alpha-2 globulin 14%, beta globulin 10% and gamma globulin 51%. A diagnosis of multiple myeloma was made.
